$20M MISSION POINT HOUSING PROJECT APPROVED TO SUPPORT TOLEDO’S CHRONICALLY HOMELESS

The Ohio Housing Finance Agency has approved funding for Mission Point, a new permanent supportive housing development in downtown Toledo. Spearheaded by Lucas Housing Services Corporation and Cherry Street Mission, the $20 million project will feature 65 one-bedroom apartments for chronically homeless individuals. With wraparound services, career training and rental assistance, Mission Point aims to foster long-term stability and independence. ZABLOCKI SENIOR CENTER TO MOVE TO NEW YMCA FACILITY

The Chester J. Zablocki Senior Center will soon move to the newly opened Wayman D. Palmer YMCA in Toledo. The Area Office on Aging of Northwest Ohio confirmed that all current services will continue at the new, improved location. Meanwhile, the city is allocating $150,000 for a community needs assessment and feasibility study to determine the best future use for the current building at 3015 Lagrange St. City officials expect the results of the study will shape future programming and help identify services to meet the needs of North Toledo residents, including seniors, youth and families.

HAYES PRESIDENTIAL ADDS SPANISH AND ACCESSIBLE TOURS OF HISTORIC HOME

The Hayes Presidential Library & Museums in Fremont now offers a written Spanish- language tour of the Hayes Home, enhancing accessibility for Spanish-speaking visitors. Guests can scan a QR code on-site to download a PDF version of the tour, created by bilingual staff and volunteers. A written English version of the tour is also available for those who are hearing-impaired.
