SeaGate Food Bank holds No Show Gala fundraiser on April 27

Let’s be honest here— even when it was okay to go outside and meet people, nobody really liked going to one of those big, fancy dress galas. Which makes the SeaGate Food Bank’s virtual fundraiser, the No Show Gala, all the more appealing in this age of social distancing.

The No Show Gala is a big non-event being held on Monday, April 27 that requires no attendance in any form whatsoever. Nope, you don’t have to dress up, or even change clothes at all, to make an impact. Basically, all you have to do is buy a ticket then just stay home and do whatever you want.

100% of the “ticket” price goes to support the SeaGate Food Bank in its tireless work to end child hunger, through both the distribution of food and programs like FIRST, the Eat Right Academy and Milk Money for Kids.

“Attendees” to the non-existent gala won’t necessarily go home empty-handed– er, we mean stay home empty-handed. Prizes for some of those who donate will be awarded, with a few lucky guests winning tickets (real tickets, in this case) to a Cincinnati Reds game, the Toledo Symphony, Toledo Rockets football and more.

Wanna help the SeaGate Food Bank? Tickets to this fabulous and non-existent event are only $25 each, three for $50 or seven for $100. Treat the whole family to a night not-on-the-town!
