HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE COLLECTION

Toledo residents can safely dispose of household waste and hard to recycle items at the Clean Toledo Recycling Event, an easy way to responsibly get rid of items including paint, tires, electronics, scrap metal, yard waste and bulky appliances. Household hazardous waste also accepted. City of Toledo Public Service, 1189 W Central Ave. Saturday, Oct. 3, 9am-1pm. Free, $0.50 fee per tire. toledo.oh.gov/events.

TONY PACKO’S HISTORY MUSEUM OPENS

A piece of Toledo history now has a permanent home at the Original Tony Packo’s restaurant in East Toledo. The Tony Packo’s History Museum celebrates the restaurant’s history, traditions and cultural impact since its founding in 1932. Visitors can explore memorabilia and artifacts while learning about Tony Packo’s connection to the television series MASH and the celebrities, community members and other guests who helped shape its legacy.
