Toledo Buffalo Soldiers Recognized

The members of the Toledo Buffalo Soldiers Motorcycle Club were named recipients of the 2019 William L. Mallory Award on September 11, as part of the Urban Minority Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Outreach Program conference in Toledo. The award, named after the first African American to serve as Majority Floor Leader in the Ohio Legislature, was given to the Buffalo Soldiers in recognition of their efforts toward improving the community. The national  Buffalo Soldiers club, organized in 1999 in honor of the first peacetime all-African American regiments in the U.S. Army, has over 100 chapters nationally dedicated to community service projects.
