Over 220 acres of land currently occupied by Spuyten Duyval golf course will soon become the latest expansion to Secor Metropark. In a project that partners Metroparks Toledo with Western Reserve Land Conservancy, the Sylvania-area golf course will be conserved and converted into an extension of Secor’s Park, with thousands of new trees planted and over three miles of new trails constructed in the Oak Openings region. Spuyten Duyval, one of the oldest golf courses in the Toledo area, was constructed in 1929.
