Lucas County Educators Hosting Monthly Educational Programs

The Ohio State University Extension Lucas County Educators in cooperation with Metroparks Toledo are hosting monthly educational programs on a range of exciting topics food, gardening, mindfulness and more.

The program dates are on March 14, April 11 and May 9 from 3 pm to 5 pm. Programs will be offered at the new Glass City Enrichment Center, 815 Front St., next to
Toledo’s award-wining Glass City Metropark.

“We are excited to begin monthly programming for the community at the new Glass City
Enrichment Center. The March 14 program features information on food from garden to plate in celebration of National Nutrition Month. Our April 11 program will highlight victory gardens with a seed giveaway,” Amy Stone, Agriculture and Natural Resources Educator for Extension Lucas County, said.

On May 9, The Ohio State University Extension Lucas County Educators will be talking about nature for the health of it drawing attention to mindfulness in the outdoors. All programs are open to adults, youth and their parents/caregivers.

The programs and parking are free and reservations are necessary, as space is limited. To register visit go.osu.edu/osugcec.
