Thousands of individuals in Lucas, Ottawa and Wood County saved money on essential medications in 2020 thanks to the United Way of Greater Toledo and FamilyWize, a pharmacy discount program.

Working in partnership, the United Way 2-1-1 program has helped people in the area sign up for the free FamilyWize discount card. This year alone, 4,515 area residents have saved over $300,000 on their medications as a result.

United Way 2-1-1 is a free health resource for anyone living in Lucas, Ottawa or Wood County. Individuals looking to enroll in the FamilyWize program can call United Way 2-1-1 by dialing 2-1-1, texting a zip code to 898-211 or by visiting 211nwo.org.
