Neighborhood Health Association (NHA) brings an after hours clinic to Central City Toledo by expanding hours at Nexus Health Care location, 1415 Jefferson Ave.
The clinic expanded its hours Tuesday through Friday, taking walk-in patients from 8 am to 7 pm. They also accept patients on Mondays from 8 am to 4 pm. The clinic plans to offer weekend hours in the future.
“We are excited to bring these expanded hours to our location in the uptown,” Doni Miller, CEO of NHA, said in a statement. “This expansion helps us in our goal to provide quality health care when and where it’s needed.”

The clinic will offer walk-in appointments to treat chronic medical conditions including diabetes, hypertension and COPD, if patients are in need of prescription refills or if they are suffering from an illness including “upset stomach, sprains, earache, rashes, flu or upper respiratory symptoms, seasonal allergies.” They will also offer physicals and vaccines.
“We strive to make the process as convenient as possible for individuals seeking medical assistance and access to basic healthcare needs,” Shane Douglas, chief operating officer of NHA, said.

“It is important that we’re able to provide quality care to our community — to our friends, families and neighbors. This after-hours clinic is a new approach,” Tamara Bumpus, family nurse practitioner for Nexus Health Care, said.
