The winter months can be a dangerous time for low-income individuals and families struggling to pay their heating bills. The Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) is a federally-funded program administered by the Ohio Department of Development aimed at providing help to Ohioans to pay increased energy costs. Interested individuals can apply for assistance by contacting the Area Office on Aging at 419-382-0624, or at Pathway Toledo at 419-242-7304.
