Superman (1978) – Sure, everybody’s talking about the Zack Snyder cut of Justice League, but if you want a bit more of a classic flavor of Superman, you can’t go wrong with Richard Donner’s timeless film. Starring Christopher Reeve in his star-making performance, the movie expertly tells the tale of Clark Kent growing into the Man of Steel, with plenty of good natured humor and remarkable visual effects for the time. In a time when superhero movies were rare, and good ones even rarer, the original Superman movie broke the mold.
