Need Something Fixed?

The Toledo Repair Café is starting back up after a pandemic induced hiatus. On Saturday, January 29, 2022 at the Heatherdowns Branch of the Toledo Lucas County Public Library, and from 10:00am to 2:00pm, they will offer their services free of charge. Please bring your portable items (jewelry, electronics, lamps, clothing, etc.) for assessment and repair. The Heatherdowns Branch Library is located at 3265 Glanzman Road, Toledo, Ohio 43614. Donations will be accepted.

The Toledo Repair Cafe offers more than a free repair service. Keeping items from being deposited in land-fills, restoring items having sentimental value, and promoting a sense of community among all participants are some of the main goals of this local Repair Cafe. Before the hiatus, the Toledo Repair Cafe had experienced a 82% repair success rate. Most items repaired included clothing, jewelry, and electrical lamps.

Future Toledo Repair Cafe events will take place monthly and be located at the Toledo Lucas County Library branches including Oregon, Sanger, Mott, and Washington. Check them out on the Toledo Repair Cafe Facebook page for more information or contact John Krochmalny at 419-979-9080.
