Don’t miss the chance to add to your book collection at unbeatable prices! The 2025 Toledo Lucas County Public LIbrary’s periodic book sales offer gently-used, well-loved books for only $1 each. Mark your calendar for these upcoming sales: April 10-12 and May 15-17. The sales are held on Thursdays from 4 – 7 p.m. (with members-only access from noon – 4 p.m.), Fridays from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., and Saturdays from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. with a special $8 per bag deal. 1301 N. TEA & TALK SERIES SIGNED, SEALED, DELIVERED THE 6888TH WAC

On April 10 from 2 – 4 pm the Wood County Museum presents a lecture on the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion, the first Black Women’s Army Corps (WAC) unit deployed overseas during WWII. The unit organized and delivered millions of pieces of undelivered mail, while facing racism and sexism. Take your tech skills to the next level with free classes at the Toledo Lucas County Public Library. Join “Google Sheets for Beginners” to get hands-on experience with spreadsheets, or dive into “Microsoft Excel for Beginners” to master the essentials of this powerful tool. Additionally, explore the world of digital media with the “Introduction to eMedia” class. These beginner-friendly sessions will help build confidence for these vital skills. STEP BACK IN TIME AT EARLY OHIO ALONG THE PORTAGE

Step back in time at “Early Ohio Along the Portage,” a living history event hosted at the Wood County Museum. Experience reenactments of military, Native American, settler life and political growth, from 1700-1865. Meet historical figures and witness activities from days gone by.
