A recent study by the Greater Ohio Policy Center found that
NeighborWorks Toledo Region contributed more than $43 million to the area’s economy between 2014 and 2018. NeighborWorks, a nonprofit corporation (founded in 1976 under the name Neighborhood Housing Services of Toledo), is a group dedicated to the restoration and revitalization of Toledo neighborhoods, assisting over 1,100 families in the purchase or renovation of their homes. The Greater Ohio study found NeighborWorks’ efforts have created or helped sustain over 300 jobs every year in the Toledo area.
