The 2014 Ray of Hope Awards were held Wednesday, October 22, recognizing the efforts of community leaders who have had a significant impact on our area. Jerry Jakes, Norm Koenigseker, Mike Tansey and Candy Sturtz will be honored, along with Lourdes University and Drs. Simon, Haerian and Ludwig. Honorees were lauded for their contributions to community and public service, leadership and education. The event was sponsored by Promedica Flower Hospital, and proceeds will benefit Sylvania Area Family Services.
