Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that. – MLK

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day will be celebrated on January 18, 2021.  Due to the limitations placed on gatherings caused by Covid, the usual celebrations have not been planned.  However, the University of Toledo and City of Toledo are hosting a virtual event.

On Monday, January 18, at 10:00 a.m., Austin Channing Brown, a speaker, activist, and the author of “I’m Still Here: Black Dignity in a World Made for Whiteness”  will speak.

The night before the YWCA of NWOhio is hosting a community read book review of Author Brown’s book.  The book is widely available at booksellers, online and the Library.
