Owens Community College Offers Dental Hygiene Clinic

Owens Community College is offering a Dental Hygiene Clinic to people in the area in need of dental care.

The Dental Hygiene Clinic is located on the second floor of the Health Technologies Hall on the Toledo-area campus.

The 20-chair clinic is open to both adults and children and is staffed by dental hygiene students supervised by licensed dental professionals.

The clinic runs from September to May.

The dental hygiene students participating in the clinic have extensive knowledge on dental care.

“The Dental Hygiene Clinic provides an opportunity for members of our community to receive safe, quality dental services at a reasonable cost,” Owens Community College wrote.

Dental services include oral assessments, radiographs (X-rays), home dental care and diet instruction, dental cleanings, pit and fissure sealants and inspection and cleaning of dentures.

Restorative dental services are also available to those who are in need of silver and tooth-colored fillings. 

Payment for these services is a minimal fee. Fees are due at the time of the appointment before treatment begins.
