The Croswell Opera House Presents “Mary Poppins”

A timeless tale of a particularly special nanny, “Mary Poppins” is playing at The Croswell Opera house, 129 E Maumee St.in Adrian, Michigan,  Aug. 4 through Aug. 20.  The story follows a nanny who tries to turn the lives of two British children upside down with a little magic and a great attitude. Ticket prices range from $15 to $44. Evening shows begin at 7:30 pm, and matinees start at 2:30 pm. The show is suitable for all ages. Wheelchair-accessible seating is available on the orchestra level.  croswell.org.

Listen to “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” Live in Concert

Nearly everyone has read, watched or heard of “Harry Potter,” the wizard whose adventures are second to none. With eight movies and seven books, there is a lot of material to choose from.

The Stranahan Theater, 4645 Heatherdowns Boulevard, is hosting a live orchestra performance of the first film, “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.” The concert features Symphoria performing John Williams’ score in conjunction  with a high-definition showing of the film on a 40-foot screen. Thomas Rhett to Perform at the Huntington Center

Thomas Rhett fans can “Die a Happy Man” after seeing him perform at the Huntington Center, 500 Jefferson Ave. Rhett will sing his well-known songs along with special musical guests Cole Swindell and Nate Smith.
