Support a Mural Honoring Toledo’s Eastern European Heritage
Help preserve Toledo’s immigrant history by donating to support a mural honoring Eastern European families who helped shape our city between 1860 and 1920. Created by local artist Dean Davis as part of the United States’ 250th anniversary celebration, the mural will be painted on the LaSalle Cleaners building at Jefferson Avenue and Michigan Street downtown. Grand Rapids Historical Society Continues 250th Lecture Series
Celebrate 250 years of American history with the Grand Rapids Historical Society’s ongoing lecture series. Held at the Historic Grand Rapids Town Hall, the free presentations explore key moments in the nation’s past, from the Battle of Fallen Timbers to the Vietnam War. Explore Great Lakes History in ‘Currents of Change’
Discover how people of the region have shaped one another in Currents of Change: The Living History of the Great Lakes, on display at the National Museum of the Great Lakes through October 18. This immersive exhibit explores the region’s past, from the fur trade and early settlement to invasive species, harmful algal blooms and modern conservation efforts. Women’s Leadership Summit Inspires Fearlessness
The 4th Annual Women’s Leadership Summit, presented by UToledo Health, brings together executives, entrepreneurs and emerging leaders for a day of connection, inspiration and professional growth.
