Individuals and their loved ones going through the journey of a dementia diagnosis don’t have to do it alone. Instead, they can seek support through community right here in Toledo.
MemoryLane Care Services is collaborating with Leadership Toledo, Dementia Friends Ohio and the Ohio Council for Cognitive Health to gain Toledo the designed Dementia Friendly Community status.
The Dementia Friendly Community event will take place Thursday, June 15 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at the Glass City Pavilion, 1001 Front St.
In order to showcase Toledo’s dementia friendly nature, these organizations are teaming up to host a panel of speakers and a garden party style event. The speakers will talk about first-hand experiences, business-specific dementia friendly resources and generally raise awareness of dementia within the Toledo community.
