This Saturday, Nov. 22, marks the final gathering of the year for the Toledo Repair Café, held at the Toledo Lucas County Public Library’s Mott Branch. After a year of helping community members fix appliances, clothing, bicycles, and other treasured items, this session brings the 2025 cycle to a cheerful close.
Volunteers and visitors alike will gather on Saturday to share tools, tips, stories—and in many cases, triumphs over broken-down everyday items. The setting at Mott Branch provides a friendly, hands-on atmosphere where folks bring in that slightly worn sweater, that balky radio or the bicycle that won’t shift, knowing that someone in the room just might help make it as good as new.
After this Saturday, the café will pause for the holidays, giving the team time to rest, reflect, retool and come back strong. The next session is scheduled for January 2026, ushering in a fresh year of reuse, repair and community connection. If you’ve been meaning to bring something in, this Saturday is the last chance this year.
