Description
Have some fun with pottery and make your own creation as Metroparks partners with John Thies and Tiffany Hyland of Oak Openings Pottery at Pearson Metropark. This recreational clay class will highlight sustainable use of nature in art and blue clay history in the Great Black Swamp. In this class, you will have a choice to make a tree-themed mug, vase or pencil holder. All participants and staff must wear masks and abide by proper social distancing guidelines for the duration of the program. Mask breaks are allowed when appropriate. Participants must bring their own mask. Please wear clothing that is washable and comfortable. Please bring a small hand towel. Feel free to bring flowers, leaves, or other natural objects with interesting texture from your own property to incorporate into the project.
