Hazardous air quality caused by smoke from the ongoing Canadian wildfires is expected to continue through tonight and into early tomorrow morning. In response, two overnight safe sites will be available for anyone who needs a place to stay indoors.
The sites will be open from 9 pm to 8 am at:
- St. Martin de Porres Church, 1119 W. Bancroft St.
- St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 1201 Madison Ave.
Transportation is available through United Way/211. Call 211 for more information or to arrange transportation if needed.
