The Getting Your Affairs in Order Properly workshop started on Jan. 27 being held by Area Office on Aging of Northwestern Ohio, Inc. and Toledo Lucas County Library. The next of these workshops is on Saturday, March 16, on Bank Account Information.
The previous workshop featured two attorneys, Charlon Dewberry and Arthur Battle. The two attorneys explained in further detail how to begin the process of getting your affairs in order.
These two attorneys highlighted the documents that are necessary to making your wishes known when settling your affairs. One document that was talked about in length was the last will and testament, this document should include all property, even if the property is low in value.

There was also advice on handling who knows the information of these kinds of documents. Such as making sure that more than one person knows the end of life information and understanding that in grief there may be conflict because of confusion and host a dinner with core family members and allow a family leader to be identified among those core member to keep the harmony.
