2024 Area Office on Aging Kinship Navigator Program Summer Series

The Area Office on Aging Exemplary designated Kinship Navigator Program is announcing their 2024 Summer Series sessions for Lucas County grandparents and relatives who are raising children in the area.

This program will talk about topics such as Custody, Guardianship, Child Support, Safety Issues, Human Trafficking and much more. This program gives grandparents and guardians access to learn more about important topics and provides a safe learning environment for both the children and guardians.

The Summer Series sessions will take place from July 22 through July 29. There will be two sessions each day of Caregiver education along with daily sessions of programming for children and youth ages 6 to 17 and will also include a magic show for the kids. These workshops are free along with provided on site child care, transportation and lunch.

Featured speakers will include members of the Area Office on Aging, Lucas County Children Services, Lucas County Juvenile Court, Legal Aid of Western Ohio, Toledo Lucas County Health Department, Toledo Public Schools and more. 

These programs such as the 2024 Summer Sessions provide a way to offer support and help to grandparents, relatives and guardians who are raising children in Lucas County.
