Nigel Burgoine

The artistic director of the Ballet Theatre of Toledo is one of eight to be honored at the upcoming 2020 Governor’s Awards for the Arts in Ohio.

Nigel Burgoine (pictured right) founded the Ballet Theatre in 2005. He will receive the honor at a luncheon held on March 25 in Columbus. Born in Chelsea, London, Burgoine has a lifetime of experience in ballet, including graduating from the Royal Ballet School in London and serving as the artistic director of the Cincinnati Ballet and the Toledo Ballet.
