Local Veteran Has 100th Birthday

Marion Risk celebrated a huge milestone on April 28th with his 100th birthday. Born in the Oklahoma Territory where he was raised on a farm, Risk served in World War II as a Marine stationed at Midway Island. He and his wife Jean have two children, three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. The family celebrated at their church, Collingwood Presbyterian, where he received a card from Representative Marcy Kaptur and was honored by guest speakers Mayor Wade Kapszukiewicz and Governor Mike DeWine.
