With the holidays quickly approaching, I have special, pretty foods on my mind. Presenting a beautiful cake makes my guests, and me, happy. Plus, who doesn’t like a cake?
This multi layer cake is moist and richly flavored with brown sugar. It’s crumb holds together well. Between the layers is a luscious buttercream and an easily made tart, cranberry jam. Then, covering the cake is a thick layer of more buttercream. Finally, sugared cranberries add beauty – don’t skip them!
I made this cake months ago but as Christmas approaches, all I can think of to finish off our holiday meal is this cake. The two of us (thanks covid-19), will eat cake.
