The African American Legacy Project and the Third Baptist Church (TBC) are sponsoring a Blessing of the Hands interfaith service. First held in 2008, the program focuses on the healers and doctors in the African-American community. All medical, health and healing professionals and caregivers are invited. “God has blessed us with doctors, health and healing professionals and caregivers that give of themselves relentlessly and tirelessly day in and day out. It is important to take a day to give homage to these individuals for their contributions to humankind,” writes TBC Reverend Barbie J. Harrison. Refreshments will be served after the program. 10am.
