For those age 65 and older, hearing loss afflicts one in three people. If you or a loved one are effected, or you are interested in taking some preventive measures, ElderCollege, BGSU’s senior learning program, is hosting a discussion, Do You Hear That? Hearing Loss and Your Health. Discover coping methods as well as what you can do now to help your hearing later. Registration required. 10am. Thursday, October 26. $20.

Manhattan’s Pub and Cheer on Adams Street in Uptown opened in December, 2002 and recently celebrated its 15th anniversary. Toledo native, Zach Lahey, the restaurant’s owner and general manager explains, “For almost ten years, it was a major struggle to keep the doors open, to really find our place in the micro-neighborhood (Uptown) that we’re in.”
